Satmar Community of Old Nyack Celebrates Closing on Shul, Renovation to Begin Soon

By: Yitzy Fried

Satmar Chassidim of Rav Zalman Leib of Satmar, shlit”a, received the joyful news of the closing on a property which will serve as the Satmar Khal Yetev Lev of the “Old Nyack Area.” The kehillah has been davening in the old building, located the corner of Old Nyack Turnpike and Brewer Road, for a while now. Upon the guidance and advice of the Rebbe, they have purchased it with plans to expand and renovate it.

The Shul has become a center in the entire neighborhood, which is a newer part of Monsey for the heimishe community.

When completed, the building will feature a massive shul, a state-of-the-art mikveh, and numerous shtiebelach for additional minyonim. An added bonus will be ample parking space, enabling mispalelim from throughout the area to make this a destination for their Torah and tefillah.
