Routine Traffic Stop By Haverstraw Police Leads To Driver Arrest

A routine traffic stop Saturday night by the Haverstraw Police ended with the driver behind bars. 

Officers had pulled over a car for a routine vehicle stop but quickly realized the 18-year-old driver was in the possession of an illegal loaded firearm. The driver was apprehended and charged with criminal possession of a weapon 2nd degree; loaded firearm (Class C Felony), criminal possession of a weapon 3rd degree; ammunition feeding device (Class D Felony), assault 2nd degree (Class D Felony), and resisting arrest (Class A Misdemeanor).
