Rockland Snow Watch: Roads in and Around Monsey Extremely Slippery and Snow Covered

By Rockland Daily Staff

Rockland roads remain snow-covered and dangerous to traverse after last night's snowstorm blanketed the area with an estimated half a foot of snow.

Drivers should avoid going out, as snowplows are overwhelmed with keeping roads and highways cleared as snow continues to fall. An increase in accidents continues to be reported due to drivers losing control and sliding on roads and highways due to the slippery conditions.

The National Weather Service reports that snow, which will still be heavy at times, will continue to fall through the early afternoon, ending around 2 p.m.

Today's high will reach 35, with wind chill making it feel like temperatures have dropped to 20 to 25 degrees, as gusts can reach 25 mph.
