Rockland Emergency Managers Review Backup Generator Protocal

By Idy Perl
Rockland County Fire and Emergency Services Emergency Managers met with the New York State DOT and law enforcement partners to review important protocals to keep our community safe during long power outages; utilizing backup generators to power critical intersections.
In instances when the county endures an extended outage, generators will be used to keep traffic flowing and prevent accidents in high traffic areas. It’s this type of proactive planning and preparation that enables the county to respond quickly and effectively to keep Rockland safe.
