Rockland Emergency Management’s “Did You Know?” Series Highlights Mobile EOC Preparedness
As part of its weekly “Did You Know?” series, Rockland County Fire and Emergency Services shared an important preparedness update, reminding residents that its Emergency Management Division is ready for any situation - even if their main Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is ever impacted.
Officials explained that in the rare case their EOC cannot be used during a large-scale incident, they are fully equipped with mobile EOC kits and Starlink satellite technology, allowing them to set up operations anywhere. This ensures uninterrupted coordination and communication when disaster strikes.
“Preparedness is our mission,” the department said, encouraging residents to reach out with questions at [email protected]
The weekly series continues to give the public an inside look at how Rockland County stays ready for emergencies.
