Rockland County to Host Guided Hike at South Mountain County Park

Rockland County Environmental Resources will host a guided hike on Wednesday, November 4th at the South Mountain County Park in New City, giving residents an opportunity to explore the mountain ridge and enjoy beautiful views.

The hike will take place Wednesday, November 4, at 10 a.m., beginning at 71 South Mountain Road in New City, (enter between the stone pillars).

County officials describe the approximately three-mile hike along the mountain ridge as strenuous, with steep and rocky terrain in some areas and gorgeous views. Hiking boots are strongly recommended.
