Rockland County Sheriff's Office Honored for Accreditation of All Four Divisions

Rockland County Legislature Chairman Jay Hood Jr. and members of the County Legislature formally recognized the Rockland County Sheriffs Office for being one of only four Counties in New York State to have all divisions within the Sheriffs Office accredited.

The four divisions - Police, Civil Enforcement, Communications, and Corrections Divisions have all been accredited by New York State. The Corrections Division's Medical Health Care Services has also earned accreditation from the National Commission on Correctional Health Care.

The formal recognition of the department and its dedicated officers and staff took place last night at the Allison-Parris County Office Building in New City.
