Rockland County Sheriff Honored During New York Sheriff's Week

By Idy Perl
This week is New York's Sheriff's Week, a week to celebrate and honor the hard work and dedication of New York's sheriffs.
County Executive Ed Day, Public Safety Committee Chair Legislator Paul Cleary, and Rockland County Legislature Chairman Jay Hood presented Rockland County Sheriff Louis Falco III with a proclamation that recognizes the service of the sheriff and his officers.
The role of the Sheriff's Office extends to many facets of public safety, and includes maintaining the county jail, providing security in local courthouses, conducting arson and crime scene investigations, responding to bomb threats, operating a Hudson River safety patrol, and so much more to ensure the continued safety of all Rockland County residents.
On behalf of all Rockland County residents, Rockland Daily extends a big thank you to the brave officers of the Rockland County Sheriff's Office!
