Rockland County Opens Registration for Remaining 2026 Guided Hikes
Rockland County's Division of Environmental Resources has opened registration for its remaining guided hikes scheduled throughout 2026, offering residents and visitors an opportunity to explore some of the county's scenic parks while learning about their history and natural features.
The guided hikes will take place at several locations across the county, including Samuel G. Fisher Environmental Park, Clausland Mountain Park, Haverstraw Bay Park, Dater Mountain Park, and South Mountain Park.
County officials said the hikes are designed to showcase the unique landscapes, wildlife, and historical significance of Rockland's park system. Participants will have the chance to explore trails with experienced guides who will provide information about the area's environmental and cultural heritage.
The remaining hikes are scheduled for July 8, August 5, September 9, October 7, and November 4.
Registration is now open, and space may be limited for certain hikes. Additional information and registration details are available through the Rockland County Division of Environmental Resources.
