Rockland County Office for the Aging to Hold Free Technology Classes

Rockland County seniors will receive guidance on hand-held devices in a new class offered by the Office for the Aging in collaboration with BOCES and Rockland County Information Technology Services.
The free technology classes for older Rockland County residents will take place on four consecutive Mondays after Pesach starting April 17 and going through May 8. Slots will be available from 8:45-9:45 a.m. and 12:00-1:00 p.m.
Topics offered include: Navigating the Internet; Cybersecurity, Storage, and Photos; and Communication which will include Zoom, Facetime, and Google Due.
Seniors can sign up for the 20-minute lesson on the topic that interests them most and bring their smartphone, tablet, or laptop to class. Each lesson will be followed by one-on-one assistance from an educator.
Classes will be given at Rockland County Fire Training Center Emergency in Pomona. Registration to 845-364-2110 is required.
