Rockland County Legislature Approves RCC’s $64.57 Million Budget
YSR.
The Rockland County Legislature has unanimously approved Rockland Community College’s $64.57 million budget for the 2026–2027 school year.
The budget is 4.4% higher than last year, mainly because the cost of running the college has increased. However, tuition will remain the same at $2,832 per semester, or $236 per credit.
Rockland County will contribute nearly $18.4 million toward the budget, helping cover about one-third of the college’s expenses.
RCC officials also said the college’s financial condition has improved. The amount of money it has available has grown from less than $1 million to about $6.2 million, and is expected to increase further.
The college says it has improved its finances by cutting costs, reviewing contracts, paying down old bills, and helping students stay current on tuition.
RCC also plans to continue investing in student support, including financial aid help, advising, online classes, marketing, and additional staff.
