Rockland County Holds Economic Development Leadership Award Breakfast

By Mindy Cohn
Rockland County honored Al Samuels, President and CEO of the Rockland Business Association (RBA), with the Rockland County Economic Development Leadership Award for his decades-long leadership in economic development at Friday's Economic Development Leadership Award Breakfast.
The Rockland Business Association advocates, promotes, and educates the business community of Rockland County and the surrounding region and was led by Samuels for over twenty years while serving as a key leader and advocate for Rockland and the region.
"The heartfelt accolades offered up by so many in attendance spoke volumes about Al Samuels who is nothing short of a titan in the realm of economic development," Rockland County Executive Ed Day stated. "We honored a man who is revered by many and respected by all. I am proud to call him a dear friend."
The award presentation was the culminating event of Rockland’s acknowledgement of Economic Development Week. Economic Development Week was created in 2016 by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) to increase awareness of local programs that create jobs, advance career development opportunities, and improve the quality of life in communities everywhere.
The breakfast took place at The Nyack Seaport on Burd Street in Nyack.
