By Idy Perl
Earlier this week, on Monday, May 12, a special event was held to honor Police Week, which takes place between May 11-May 17 and recognizes the hard work of law enforcement.
The Rockland County District Attorney’s Office awarded a "Certificate of Excellent Police Work in Aid to Prosecution to Detective Lieutenant Michael Duggan and Detective George del Fierro
"Police week pays tribute to the local, state, and federal law enforcement officers who serve and protect us with courage, professionalism and integrity," District Attorney Walsh said. "It is important to pay tribute to the men and women who dedicate themselves to keeping our communities safe. We will always remember our fallen officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service of us all. I want to thank our local law enforcement partners throughout Rockland County for their exceptional commitment to keeping our communities safe.
I am proud of the criminal investigators and undercover officers working for the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office. They exemplify the dedication and commitment of our local law enforcement in serving the people of Rockland County. This award is just a small token in appreciation of their hard work. It is my privilege to recognize these individuals who serve with distinction and excellence as detectives in my office.
