Retired Public Employees Association Hosts First Rockland County Event
By Y.M. Lowy
The Retired Public Employees Association held its first gathering in Rockland County, bringing together local retirees and their representatives in the New York State Assembly and Senate. RPEA advocates for public retirees across various professions, including librarians, policemen, and employees at the state, county, town, and village levels, to ensure their benefits are maintained.
“This event is an introduction of some of our members to the people who represent them in the state assembly and the state senate,” said Jody Fox, chapter co-chair of the Rockland Orange chapter of RPEA, in a statement to Rockland Daily.
“We intend to do it in the future,” he said, adding that the next gathering may take place in Orange County, while remaining accessible to members from both counties.
