RCC President Addresses Student Rules of Conduct at the College
by M.C. Millman

Dr. Lester Sandres Rápalo, Rockland Community College president published a letter today in which he addresses the issues on college campuses of those calling for the genocide of Jews.

"I am writing," Dr. Lester Sandres Rápalo writes, "to make it unequivocally clear that the calling for the genocide of the Jewish people, or any group of people, represents a clear violation of Rockland Community College’s student code of conduct, and such behavior will not be tolerated.  As Governor Hochul stated in a letter to New York State and University Presidents this past week, "...failure to address such activity would constitute a violation of New York State Human Rights Law as well as Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964......it is my utmost duty to ensure inflammatory and hateful conduct, which are antithetical to our values, are condemned and addressed immediately."
