Rapid Intervention Team Training At Rockland County Fire Training Center
By Idy Perl
Last weekend, training continued at the Rockland County Fire Training Center.
The firefighters participated in training to learn how to work as part of a team to ensure firefighter safety during emergencies and how to conduct firefighter rescues in case something goes wrong.
Being part of a Rapid Intervention Team is a safety net for the crews working inside burning buildings, and ensures that they're ready to step in to assist or remove a firefighter if needed.
