Ramapo Police Further Enforce Pedestrian Safety

By Idy Perl

The Ramapo Police were once again out on the streets to enforce pedestrian and bicycle safety on Ramapo's streets.

The Ramapo Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit took targeted action yesterday and stood outside the Key Food parking lot on N Main Street in Spring Valley, a location that has seen many accidents and crashes. The officers handed out safety flyers to pedestrians, shoppers, and bicyclists passing by.

The TSU also issued tickets for various traffic violations, including 2 unregistered vehicles, 3 passing a red signal, 1 uninspected vehicle, 1 unlicensed operator, 2 cellphones, 1 moving from lane unsafely, 1 driving thru safety zone, and 1 disobeying a traffic control device.
