Ramapo Police Arrests Man After Violent Armed Robbery in Residential Driveway

A man was arrested following a harrowing gunpoint robbery that took place at the end of a residential driveway, where the victim was pistol-whipped and injured during a physical struggle with the armed suspect.
According to authorities, the suspect managed to flee the scene with a substantial amount of cash after the confrontation. The Ramapo Police Department responded swiftly, with both patrol officers and detectives immediately launching an investigation. They were joined by the New York State Police in a coordinated effort that quickly led to identifying and locating the suspect.
A 42-year-old male from Middletown, NY was taken into custody and is facing multiple serious charges, including:
- Robbery in the 1st Degree
- Assault in the 2nd Degree
- Criminal Use of a Firearm in the 1st Degree
- Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree
- Menacing in the 2nd Degree
The suspect is currently being processed at the Ramapo Police Headquarters, with arraignment expected later today at Hillburn Justice Court.
