Ramapo Police Arrest Suspect In Airmont Car Thefts

In early December Ramapo Police responded to several reports of larcenies from vehicles in Airmont. The car thefts occured during the night over two separate weekends, and various items were stolen from vehicles including cash, credit cards, and other personal items. 

The suspects then attempted to use the stolen credit cards at retail stores in Rockland County as well as in New Jersey. The Ramapo Police conducted an investigation and was able to identify one of the suspects. 

The suspect, a 29-year-old male Airmont, was arrested on December 27th and charged with multiple counts of Grand Larceny, Petit Larceny and Conspiracy 5th degree. He was released on a desk appearance ticket to return to the Village of Airmont Court and the Town of Clarkstown Court. 

The Ramapo Police are still working to identify the other suspects who were involved.
