By YS Gold
In the wake of a challenging winter storm, Superintendent of Highways for the Town of Ramapo Fred Brinn, hosted a special appreciation lunch to recognize the dedicated public servants who kept the community safe and mobile— especially during a challenging snowstorm.
The gathering served as a formal "thank you" to the crews of the Highway Department and the Department of Public Works (DPW), whose tireless efforts in clearing snow and managing the storm's aftermath were essential to the town's recovery.
Supervisor Michael Specht highlighted the grueling nature of the work, expressing deep gratitude for the long hours and physical labor invested by the crews. Their commitment ensured that critical infrastructure remained functional and residents could navigate the roads safely.
The appreciation extended beyond the maintenance crews, as Specht also took a moment to commend the Ramapo Police Department. He praised the officers for their "hard and efficient work" throughout the duration of the storm, noting that their coordination and presence were vital to maintaining order and safety under difficult conditions.
