Orange And Rockland Utilities Prepares Additional Crews Ahead of Thursday's Winds

Orange and Rockland Utilities have announced that they are gearing up and preparing to mobilize their emergency response workforce ahead of heavy wind conditions expected to pass the region Thursday.

With sustained winds of 10 to 20 mph and gusts reaching up to 50 mph, O&R is mobilizing overhead line crews, tree removal experts, and customer service operators, to address any emergencies. 

O&R advises residents to stay safe during the storm. Ensure generators are used properly to avoid hazards. Do not approach downed wires as they may be energized and dangerous. In case of an outage, residents can report it by calling 1-877-434-4100
