O&R Ramps up Emergency Crews for Friday's Expected Damaging High Winds
Orange and Rockland Utilities is preparing its emergency response crews to mobilize early Friday morning to repair potential damage and restore possible power outages from a severe windstorm, expected to pack strong gusts as high as 60 mph.
The storm is expected to arrive in the region around 3 a.m. Friday and last until around noon.
O&R company and contractor overhead line crews, tree removal experts, customer service operators, and the other O&R emergency response personnel will be activated and deployed at 5 a.m. Friday morning.
