O&R Preparing to Shut Off Utilities to Holland House in Spring Valley

Orange & Rockland Utilities sent out letters to the Holland House residents on Viola Road informing them that they intend to shut off gas and electric service later this month due to $27,000 in unpaid utility bills.

Residents who are up to date with Orange & Rockland will still have electricity, but areas outside their homes, such as the hallways and spotlights in the parking lots, will not be turned on.

Residents say that the issue is a result of other condo unit owners not paying their monthly HOA fees. 

News 12 reported that O&R confirmed that the Holland House bill has gone unpaid since April 2022. The utility company also shared that it had been trying to work something out with Holland House, but the issue remains unresolved.
