New Chaburah of Kinyan Hamasechta Launched at Scheiner’s

There are over two hundred chaburos of the
revolutionary Kinyan Hamasechta program—a system that emphasizes mastery of the
gemara by numerous reviews.
On Monday evening, a crowd gathered at the home of R’ Hetzy
Stern for the launch of the new Kinyan Hamasechta chaburah which will be
officially launched at Bais Medrash Ohr Chaim—Scheiner’s Shul. The chaburah will gather
four nights a week and will be delivered by Rav Tzvi Seidman.
Rockland Daily spoke with Rav Seideman, who explained the
uniqueness of this system, “Every day before beginning a new piece of gemara,
we review what was learned yesterday, and we do not get up from the gemara
before reviewing what we have just learned.”
There is no official pace in Kinyan Hamesehcta, rather, it is
focused on mastery of whatever is learned. “Constant chazarah with the goal of
making it so pleasant for the learner,” Rabbi Seidman says.
The shiur at Scheiners will take place Monday-Thursday evening
in one of the shiur rooms at 18 Forshay upstairs. Somewhere between an amud or
a daf per week will be learned—depending on the participants.
