New Central Nyack Community Garden Opens with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Town of Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann and the Town of Clarkstown Board proudly announced the grand opening of the new Central Nyack Community Garden with an official ribbon cutting ceremony. County officials and members of the Central Nyack Civic Association joined the celebration, marking an exciting milestone for the neighborhood.
Located at the end of West Broadway and Gillis Avenue, the new garden offers residents a shared space to grow fresh produce, connect with neighbors, and encourage sustainable, healthy living. The site features raised planting beds, a seating area, and a greenhouse, creating a welcoming environment for community engagement and education.
Supervisor Hoehmann extended his appreciation to Rockland County Executive Ed Day and the County Government for their support in securing the grant funding that made this project possible.
