My Extended Family Hosts Evening of Chizuk for Rockland Parents

My Extended Family, an organization that supports children from single-parent homes, hosted a parenting event last week for single parents from all walks of life who came together to be inspired and support each other.

Rabbi Yehoshua Blass, the Mashgiach Ruchani at RIETS and noted lecturer and therapist, was the keynote speaker. Rabbi Blass addressed the importance of prioritizing emotional well-being and seeking support when needed so that, in turn, parents can provide a safe and healthy environment for children, free from the burden of their own emotional pain. His words were truly uplifting and inspiring.

Throughout the event, which took place at Khal Zichoron Michoel, there was a true sense of community and support. Parents shared stories, exchanged tips, and offered words of encouragement to one another. It was clear that everyone in the room was committed to helping each other succeed as parents and as people. 

Daniella Sabo designed a magnificent event with a beautiful and tasteful spread enjoyed by all. The evening was a testament to the power of community and support. Everyone left feeling inspired, uplifted, and grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful gathering.

My Extended Family is a non for profit organization addressing needs experienced by children from single-parent homes, helping fill in the gaps with comprehensive and preventative support in a safe, caring environment. The programs My Extended Family runs include homework help, school advocacy, big brother/sister mentorship, and more.
