Monsey Fire Department Hosts Ribbon Cutting For New Vehicles

By Idy Perl

On Tuesday morning, the Monsey Fire Department held a ribbon cutting ceremony for several new vehicles that have been added to their fleet within the last two years.

The ceremony was held the Park and Ride behind Evergreen, and was attended by local officials including County Sheriff Lou Falco, County Fire Coordinator Chris Kear, Ramapo Police Chief Hyman, County Chief of Communications Adam Feuer, County DA Tom Walsh, Assemblyman Aron Wieder, Ramapo Town Supervisor Michael Specht, Senator Bill Weber, and many others.

The event celebrated the addition of three new firetrucks, 7-1500, 7-Squad & 7-Tower, as well as a RAC (Rest and Comfort) unit, which assists members on extended calls, a Field Com which provides assistance for non-fire related matters on calls, new chief vehicles, and a drone.

These new vehicles ensure that the Monsey Fire Department has the supplies and resources they need to continue responding to calls in the growing Monsey community.
