Memorial Park Granted New Walking Bridge

Memorial Park Granted New Walking Bridge

By M.C. Millman

A new walking bridge was installed yesterday in the Village of Spring Valley Memorial Park on Memorial Park Drive.

"People who use the park have been asking for a walking bridge for quite some time," Village of Spring Valley Deputy Mayor Yisroel Eisenbach shares with Rockland Daily. "I am pleased we were finally able to install the structure, as it will add to the overall enjoyment of residents who utilize the park. I am also happy to report that the village was able to secure a grant to fund the bridge, which means that it was installed at no cost to our taxpayers.

"I would also like to compliment Rockland County Executive Ed Day's staff for overseeing the grant process, as well as our Director of Community Development and Housing Nida Sharif, and the engineers who were instrumental in working as a team in getting this project done for the village."

The upgrades for Memorial Park are not over yet as Eisenbach shares that there is another grant in the works, this time for upgraded playground equipment for the park.
