Materials Management Working Group Tours Rockland Green

Rockland Green hosted a presentation and tour for the Hudson Valley Regional Council Materials Management Working Group last Wednesday, May 1. 

The HVRC Materials Management Working Group has participants from all seven counties who study issues involving solid waste, including recycling, recycling education, hazardous waste, and composting and diversion of food and organic waste.

Gerard M. Damiani Jr., Rockland Green's Executive Director, and Jennifer Sheridan, from Rockland Green's Outreach and Education Department, gave a presentation that showcased the facilities and programs offered through Rockland Green.

Following the presentation, Manuel Guzman, SMR/Balcones Facility Manager, and Duc Ngo, SMR/Balcones Maintenance Manager, took the members on a tour of the Materials Recovery Facility, where they saw firsthand how Rockland Green handles Rockland County's waste.
