Massive Trafficking Ring Busted in Hudson Valley

By Idy Perl
A major illegal trafficking operation in the Hudson Valley was shut down this week following an extensive investigation by the New York State Attorney General’s Office.
Attorney General Letitia James announced the bust involved the illegal sale of harmful substances. The operation resulted in the seizure of over $500,000 worth of counterfeit pills and $200,000 worth of illegal powders, along with five illegal firearms, including two ghost guns.
The takedown was the result of an eleven-month investigation by the Organized Crime Task Force, State Police’s Special Investigations Unit-Hudson Valley, and Troop K’s Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team.
