Massive New Sukkah Being Erected in Viznitzer Court

YS GOLD

As Yom Tov approaches, a massive construction project has been undertaken by the Viznitz-Monsey chassidus; the erection of an enormous new Sukkah which will host the elevated and uplifted tischen throughout the days of Yom Tov.

The large sukkah which was located in the Ezras Noshim of the large beis medrash, and has not been able to accommodate the large crowd of chassidim for many years now. The Viznitzer Admorim are known to host sixteen tischen over the days of Sukkos, and chassidim desperately seek to participate in these exalted events.

The construction of the new Sukkah--on the corner of Phyllis Terrace and Elliot Court-- could not come at a better time. It will feature an extremely high roof, able to accommodate high levels of bleachers. Included in the work is a grading and leveling project to prepare the ground for the sukkah. Following Yom Tov, the area will be turned into a parking lot.

In giving his approval for this project, the Viznitzer Rebbe instructed the askonim and gaba'im to ensure that every inch of the Sukkah would be 100% kosher so that visitors wouldn't need to worry whether they're included in the Sukkah.

Viznitzer Chassidim and residents of the area are looking on with wonder and interest at the ongoing construction work, and looking forward to exalted and joyous days in the Rebbe's court.
