Marman Place in Spring Valley will close to traffic beginning on or about Wednesday, November 4, one day after Election Day, as construction work gets underway in the area.

The construction and road closure are expected to last approximately three weeks. During working hours, Marman Place will be closed to through traffic and no street parking will be permitted, while residents will continue to have access to their driveways as needed.

Traffic will be detoured around the closure using Laura Place. Laura Place, which normally operates as a one-way street, will temporarily accommodate two-way traffic for the duration of the project.

A letter was distributed to residents along Marman Place outlining the closure, parking restrictions, driveway access and temporary traffic changes during the construction period.

The work is being carried out by Colonnelli Bros. in coordination with Rockland County Sewer District No. 1, as part of the Village of Spring Valley’s ongoing efforts to strengthen local infrastructure, improve drainage and sewer, address needed upgrades, and invest in improvements to streets and neighborhoods throughout the village.

Residents with questions regarding the project can contact the district’s Division of Engineering and Transportation at 845-365-6094 or reach out to the Village of Spring Valley for additional information.
