Machane Shulem of Bobov Hosts Around-the-World Fair at Vibes Recreation Center

The theme of Machane Shulem d’Bobov in Monsey this summer is “Machane Shulem Learns,” gearing the fun of summer in an educational direction, focusing on various themes in which the children could learn things they never would have had the opportunity to, and expressing their creativity in the process.

As the first half of the summer drew to a close, the campers culminated the season with a fair in which they each created miniature exhibits representing countries around the world. An added feature was that many campers highlighted Jewish attractions within the countries, demonstrating that the most important landmarks are the bastions of Torah and tefillah.

The fair was hosted at the Vibes Recreation Center, and for every attendee that the children brought in, they garnered points in a special contest.

More than 600 people attended the fair, and day camp staff report that the satisfaction that the children derived from expressing their creativity is still being talked about among the campers, and will continue to inspire them for a winter of growth ahead.
