Lend an Eye - Chaverim Announces New Communitywide Camera Safety Initiative

Chaverim of Rockland launched a new Rocklandwide camera initiative.
Chaverim's new Lend an Eye camera initiative has a two-pronged approach to assisting the community.
The first way is for homeowners, yeshivos, shuls, and businesses to allow Chaverim access to their exterior cameras monitoring the street to be utilized in the case of an emergency. Granting Chaverim access will save time and allow Chaverim to do their job quickly and efficiently without having to locate who at the premises can give them the footage when time is of the essence.
The second part of the Lend an Eye program is to raise the funding to install CCTV cameras and license plate readers (LPR) in strategic locations around Rockland.
"This is an idea whose time has come," says Chaverim Coordinator Yossi Margaretten. "Giving Chaverim access to cameras will reduce delays when minutes count in locating missing persons, catching criminals, and preventing future crimes. Now, not only will local shuls and schools be safer for their occupants, but they can help the entire community with this new initiative, making Rockland safer for all."
