Kennedy Trails Playground Redevelopment Underway at Last

By M.C. Millman
The new playground equipment for Kennedy Trails Park off of Old Nyack Turnpike in Spring Valley has finally arrived.
As reported by Rockland Daily last August, the $200,000 funding from the American Rescue Plan (ARPA) was used to purchase playground equipment for the property, which has been empty until now.
The playground equipment has finally arrived and will be installed over the next three weeks. It will create a fun park environment to enhance the childhood of the many visitors the park will welcome in the coming years.
"The Village is pleased to be able to bring this much-needed park to the community," Yisroel Eisenbach, Village of Spring Valley Deputy Mayor, shares with Rockland Daily. "I am very grateful to the county for bringing us the funding as well as to Mayor Alan Simon for making the park a reality along with our Director of Community Development and Housing, Nida Sharif, and our engineer, Nabil Ghanem from Colliers Engineering & Design. We look forward to seeing so many families benefitting from the finished product, including the state-of-the-art playground equipment and a beautiful picnic area for the kids to enjoy while playing on the brand new structures."
