By Idy Perl
The Satmar Kehila in Monsey recently appointed a new dayan and posek for the thriving kehilla of Beis Medrash Satmar on Route 306.
This shul, which is currently situated in the building of the Groisverdain Beis Medrash on the corner of Route 306 and Rita Avenue, has recently gone into contract to purchase its own building at the corner of Route 306 and Crestview Terrace, as reported here.
The new dayan, Rabbi Yitzchok Avraham Yungreiz shlit"a, has until now served as a dayan and posek for the Tosh community in Monsey. He is the son of Rabbi Yehoshua Tzvi Yungreiz shlit"a, the Av Beis Din of Tolchava, and the son-in-law of Rabbi Naftali Wagshal shlit"a, one of the prominent Satmar chassidim in Monsey. Rabbi Yungreiz has served for many years as a posek in the Satmar community's Beis Hora'ah, and he has now been appointed to the Satmar kehilla of Route 306, which has been growing and flourishing over the last few years.
Last week, a celebratory l'chaim was held at the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a’s residence, in addition to another celebration at the home of the Rebbe of Beis Chaim Yehoshua shlit"a, where his son, the esteemed Gaavad of Satmar Monsey shlit"a resided during the summer weeks.
