A special Shabbos is being anticipated in Skver, as the Machnivka Belz Rebbe, shlit”a, is set to arrive in New York this coming Sunday, Parshas Toldos, for a weeklong visit that will include spending Shabbos alongside the Skverer Rebbe, shlit”a.

The visit will mark 40 years since the last time the Machnovka-Belz Rebbe spent a Shabbos in Skver.

The Rebbe is coming to New York for the bris of a child of Reb Chaim Yitzchok Englander, son-in-law of the Toldos Yehudah Rebbe.

The close connection between the two Rebbes dates back many years. As a bachur, the Machnovka-Belz Rebbe learned in the yeshiva in Skver and was a ben bayis in the home of the previous Skverer Rebbe.

A large group of chassidim is expected to accompany the Rebbe, and preparations are already underway in Skver to welcome the guests and provide ample hachnosas orchim throughout the special Shabbos.
