Intoxicated Driver Causes Car Crash And Damage To Electricity Pole

Early this morning an intoxicated driver caused a crash on Route 45, near Fastov Ave. The driver also hit and caused damage to a nearby electricity pole.

O&R are on site this morning to repair the damage, and Route 45 between Rensselaer Dr and New Hempstead Rd is closed for the next 8-12 hours while they work. 

The driver was arrested on the scene, and no injuries were reported from the crash.
