In Rare Election Appeal, Vizhnitzer Rebbe Reminds Chassidim to Follow Kehilla Endorsements Ahead of Election

The Vizhnitzer Rebbe Shlita, during a lengthy Psichas Hazman Drasha for the Kollel, strongly stressed the importance of going out to vote for the candidates endorsed by the Kehilla and Mosdos, and to follow the guidance of Askanim and Gedolei Yisroel.

The Rebbe explained how the Askanim and Mosdos carefully consider what is best for both the Klal and the Prat before deciding which candidates to endorse, and warned people not to think they know better than those carrying that responsibility.

The Rebbe also strongly encouraged everyone to go out and vote, stressing that every vote matters and that no one should think their individual vote will not make a difference. He added that his father, the Vizhnitzer Rebbe zy”a, did believe in participating in the local elections, despite claims sometimes made otherwise.

He also stressed that political differences should never lead to talking disrespectfully about other Kehillas or individuals who follow different guidance.

Separately, the Vizhnitz Voting Committee sent out a letter warning parents that numerous fake sample ballots are circulating and reminding them to rely only on the official sample ballot sent home through the Mosdos. The official Vizhnitz sample ballot endorses Governor Kathy Hochul, Congressman Mike Lawler, and Joe Rand for State Senate.
