Hungry Hollow Road Reopens After Five Months

After being closed due to roadwork for five months, Hungry Hollow Road has reopened at last.
The roadwork, which began at the end of May, as reported by Rockland Daily here, was originally meant to take no more than three months while the Rockland Highway Department replaced two deteriorating metal culvert pipes with a 3X10-foot wide culvert. The new guide railing will be completed in the next few weeks.
The area had been subject to flooding which the new culvert is expected to alleviate.
