Historic Vizhnitz Shabbos in Monsey for the Toras Mordechai’s Yahrtzeit

This Shabbos marks a rare and significant occasion. The Vizhnitz Kehilla gathered in Monsey to commemorate the Rebbe’s yahrtzeit.

Since the yahrtzeit falls on Shabbos, the Rebbe’s sons of the Vizhnitz communities in Monsey, Kiyamesha, Williamsburg, Jerusalem, Montreal, Beit Shemesh, and Boro Park will unite for a grand Shabbos at the beis medrash in Monsey. Thousands of chassidim from across New York and New Jersey are expected to join.

A Shabbos of this scale only happens when the yahrtzeit coincides with Shabbos, something that won’t occur again for another 20 years.

On Motzei Shabbos, the Rebbes from Monsey, Yerushalayim, Montreal, and Beit Shemesh will lead the yahrtzeit tish together in Monsey’s main Vizhnitz beis medrash. The Rebbes from Kiamesha, Williamsburg, London, and Boro Park will hold separate tishen.
