Historic Moment for Montebello: Kevias Mezuzah Marks Opening of New Chenskovitz Shul

A Kevias Mezuzah was recently held for the new magnificent Chenskovitz Shul, located at 79 North Airmont Rd, marking the official opening of the new shul.

Senator Bill Weber attended, was honored for his assistance, particularly with the shul and, in general, for all he has done for the entire neighborhood, and he addressed the crowd, expressing his emotion and joy at seeing such a beautiful shul built by the community.

During the event, R' Yechiel Tzvi Appel announced that he will be giving the zechus for the first bor tevilah, and it was announced that R' Hershy Klein will be donating the second bor. Speeches were delivered by the Chenskovitz Rav, Reb Yaakov Moshe Twersky, and the Bobov-45 Rebbe who attended and delivered divre bracha.

The entire kehilla and neighborhood joined in this special celebration, marking a project built fully by local residents — with their heart, soul, and financial support — a true communal achievement and a moment of shared simcha for all who had a part in bringing the new shul to life.
