Yup, you read the title correctly.

At approximately 11am this morning the Haverstraw Police responded to a call of an alligator that was stuck in the Minisceongo Creek in Garnerville. 

The officers successfully removed the alligator from the water, and the Hudson Valley Humane Society of Pomona took possession of the alligator to provide the proper care.
