Haverstraw Police Investigate Smoke Shops For Underage Sales

The Haverstraw Police Department, with the assistance of the New York State Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, recently investigated the sale of tobacco and vapes to underage customers at several local smoke shops.

The investigation led to the arrest of four store employees in four separate shops located in Pomona, Garnerville, and Haverstraw, while seven other shops complied and refused to sell to an underage customer.

The employees that were arrested were released on an appearance ticket.
