Haverstraw Police Arrest Suspect Of Armed Robbery In Garnerville

The Haverstraw Police department arrested the suspect of an armed robbery that recently took place in Garnerville.
On June 25, at approximately 9:15pm, the Haverstraw Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at a business located in Garnerville. Upon arrival, officers secured the scene and began an investigation into the incident.
Following the investigation, Haverstraw Police officers, with the assistance of multiple law enforcement partners, arrested Nelson Morales, 45, of Cliffside Park, New Jersey. The arrest went down this morning in Orangetown at approximately 7am.
Morales was charged with Robbery in the First Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Firearm.
"Haverstraw is a community of good, hardworking people," Chief of Police John Gould said. "Anyone who thinks they can come into our town and commit a crime should think again. We will not rest until those responsible are identified, located, and brough to justice."
