Haverstraw Man Arrested in Connection with Burglaries Targeting Laundry Room Machines
By Rockland Daily Staff
The Haverstraw Police Department announced the arrest of Cory Cordero, 48, of Garnerville, in connection with two commercial burglaries in Garnerville and Haverstraw.
The incidents involved thefts from money collection and change machines located in laundry rooms at separate residential complexes. Cordero was apprehended yesterday in Stony Point and transported to the Haverstraw Police Department for processing. He faces multiple charges, including burglary, grand larceny, and criminal mischief, and was released on his own recognizance pending further court proceedings.
Authorities thanked the Stony Point Police Department, the Rockland County Intelligence Center, and the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in the investigation. Officials emphasized that a criminal complaint is an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
