Last week, New York State Senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick visited Hatzoloh EMS of Rockland to present the organization with a $160,000 grant that will be used to help build a new ambulance garage in Airmont.
"As our neighborhoods expand, so does the need for Hatzoloh to place ambulances in strategic locations throughout Rockland County," Rabbi Yosef Golding, Executive Director of Hatzoloh, shares with Rockland Daily. "One of these areas is in Airmont, in which a multi-ambulance garage will be built on Cherry Lane in the very near future. State Senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick, realizing this need, arranged for Hatzoloh to receive a $160,000 grant from New York State, which will cover approximately 10% of the purchase and construction costs."
"It is through their hard work and dedication," the senator tweeted, "that we are able to go about our everyday lives, knowing that if we ever need their help, they will be there. So, it is an honor to help provide them with the best resources and equipment possible to help them help us."
