Gun Buyback Program Nets Thirty Guns

By M.C. Millman
The latest in Rockland County's Community Gun Buyback program took place on Tuesday, December 13, and succeeded in removing thirty guns from off the streets, including an assault rifle.
Rockland County Sheriff Lou Falco says these programs help as people might come into ownership of a firearm, perhaps from a spouse or parents who pass away, and they want to get rid of it quickly, easily, and safely.
The gun buyback is an anonymous program, with no questions asked and no identification required. Those who turn in guns are awarded gift cards in exchange for the weapon.
