Good Samaritan Hospital Honors Hatzoloh EMS of Rockland County

by M. C. Millman

Good Samaritan Hospital honored Hatzoloh EMS of Rockland County by presenting the organization with the Good Samaritan Hospital Medal of Honor yesterday.

The hospital presents the distinguished award annually to an individual or organization demonstrating exceptional commitment to the community's well-being.

The hospital shared its appreciation for Hatzoloh's dedication to the community during the Spring Ball, which took place on Sunday, April 23, at Edgewood County Club.

Hatzoloh is the largest non-profit ambulance service in Rockland County. It is staffed exclusively by volunteers who provide pre-hospital emergency medical care and transportation, including to Good Samaritan Hospital's Emergency Room. Hatzoloh EMS was chosen for the standard of care and help its volunteers provide to the hospital's patients during their most urgent time of need.

"While I was on the phone with Good Samaritan Hospital's PR representative, who had called to inform me of the honor," Rabbi  Yosef Chaim Golding, Hatzoloh of Rockland's Executive Director, shares with Rockland Daily, "she told me she was watching as three Hatzoloh ambulances all pulled in to unload three patients after a motor vehicle accident on the corner of Route 306 and Viola Road.

"On behalf of our more than 200 Hatzoloh volunteer EMTs and paramedics, I would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospital for selecting us to receive this award. It is an honor to be recognized for our service to our neighbors throughout the county."
