Fruit Tree To Be Moved In Accordance With Halacha Behind Radishitz Shul

By Y.M. Lowy

An interesting event is unfolding in Monsey when a fruit tree, located behind the Radishitz Shul, is being prepared to be carefully moved to a different location on the same site.

This project is aimed to make space for the expanded new parking lot, part of the Shul's ongoing construction.

A team of workers prepared for the operation by digging around the tree to ensure the specialized machinery could carry out the task smoothly. The process is being carried out with great precision and patience, with every step carefully orchestrated to comply with Halacha.

Several measures were taken to ensure this: they dug the roots out completely - a few feet around the trunk, the tree was temporarily sold to a non-Jew, and the digging was handled by a non-Jewish crew. Additionally, the tree is being replanted at a new location where it can continue thriving.

It's incredible to see how both the needs of the Shul and careful adherence to Halacha were integrated into this process.
